Itinerary
Arrive at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport and be warmly welcomed by your expedition team. After a smooth transfer to your hotel, you’ll have time to relax and acclimatize. In the evening, enjoy a guided stroll through Kathmandu’s lively streets, carry out an initial orientation, meet your guide, and cap off the day with a traditional welcome dinner.
Spend the day immersed in Kathmandu's rich cultural tapestry. Visit iconic UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Meanwhile, your team will complete all necessary paperwork, trekking permits, and gear arrangements to ensure you’re fully equipped for your journey ahead.
Set off early from Kathmandu for a scenic drive along rivers and hillsides. Passing through the charming towns of Jiri and Charikot, you’ll eventually arrive at Gongar Khola where you’ll spend the night in a local lodge, surrounded by the tranquil mountain scenery.
Begin your trek along the Bhotekoshi River, passing waterfalls, terraced fields, and Sherpa villages. The climb offers refreshing Himalayan views, particularly of Gauri Shankar, before arriving in Simigaun—where the welcoming Sherpa community awaits your arrival.
Continue your upward journey with a steady trek through rhododendron forests. A rewarding ascent over Daldung La Pass (3,976 m) is followed by a descent into the serene Rolwaling Valley’s Dovan, where the confluence of rivers offers a peaceful campsite for the night.
Trek deeper into the Rolwaling Valley, passing Sherpa settlements and waterfalls along the way. Upon reaching Beding— the region's largest village—take in the remarkable views of the Gaurishankar Himal and enjoy the hospitality of this historic mountain community.
This trekking day is more gradual and offers a comforting pace. Move along the north bank of the Rolwaling River, absorbing the wide valleys and mountain scenery until you reach Na Village. This remote settlement under glacial watch provides an ideal high-altitude stopover.
Rest and acclimatize at Na Village. You may choose to hike to Yalung La Pass (5,310 m) for breathtaking views over the Yalung Glacier, Ramdung Glacier, and Gaurishankar Plain. Alternatively, explore local monasteries and cultural sites while preparing for the tougher days ahead.
Venture on to one of Nepal’s largest glacial lakes, Tsho Rolpa. The route passes ice-scattered moraines and rugged terrain, leading to a serene camp beside the glimmering lake—an alpine spectacle nestled beneath soaring peaks.
This day brings you onto the glaciers. Trek across frozen landscapes, navigating moraine-fed terrain before you reach Drolambu Glacier. The high-altitude setting sets the tone for the upcoming technical portion of your ascent.
Early morning, you’ll tackle the renowned Tashi Lapcha Pass — a technical ridge crossing offering epic views across the Himalayas. After summiting the pass, descend to Tashi Cape where a campsite awaits, complete with a well-earned rest after a challenging day.
Use this day to acclimatize and fine-tune your climbing skills in the alpine terrain. Your guide will facilitate climb preparation, including gear checks and rope techniques, ensuring confidence ahead of your summit push.
Summit day is here! Depart early for a steep climb to Pachermo’s apex. From the top, take in panoramic views of Cho Oyu, Thamserku, Ama Dablam, and Kusum Kanguru, among others. After basking in that triumph, descend to Ngole, where a restful night in a tent camp awaits.
Enjoy a mellow descent through alpine terrain to Thyangbo Kharka, a yak pasture. This allows for both relaxation and the opportunity to take in the morning mountain light over Makalu and Ama Dablam. You’ll spend the night in a cozy teahouse.
Descend further into the Khumbu region, passing through Thame and along the Bhote Koshi River’s banks. The trail eventually brings you to lively Namche Bazaar, where you can enjoy rest and reconnect with Sherpa culture—shopping, exploring, or simply unwinding in a teahouse.
The final trekking day leads through Sagarmatha National Park, along the Dudh Koshi River and over suspension bridges. The trail gradually descends to Lukla—the gateway to the Himalayas—signaling the end of your high-altitude journey.
Enjoy a short yet scenic flight back to the Kathmandu valley. Once landside, you’ll be transferred to your hotel, where you can rest or start exploring Nepal’s capital again.
Spend your day at leisure discovering Kathmandu’s vibrant heritage—perhaps visiting Bhaktapur or Patan Durbar Square, browsing local markets, or simply indulging in a farewell group dinner and sharing expedition stories with your team.
Your Pachermo Peak adventure concludes today. After breakfast, you'll be transferred to the airport for your departure, taking with you memories of conquest, culture, and Himalayan grandeur.
